Chicago Soul in Concert. Chicago, IL, May 1965. 22 x 14 in. poster promoting a benefit program for the Sullivan House, First Unitarian Church of Chicago. With musical acts highlighted below, including Hard Driving Blues, featuring Johnny Young (guitar), Jimmy Walker (piano), and Billy Boy Arnold (harmonica and bass), Art Hodes (jazz pianist), the Chariot Singers (gospel singers), and Erwin Helfer (blues and boogie woogie piano).

[With:] ELLINGTON, Duke (1899-1974), celebrated jazz pianist, composer, and band leader. Publicity photograph of Duke Ellington signed and inscribed in blue ink, "To Mrs. Franklin (?), In Appreciation, Duke Ellington." Poster: toning, puncture to top margin affecting second "C" in "Chicago." Few other light surface abrasions. Photograph: some soiling, residue at top right corner, some light creasing, corner, and edge wear.
